LUCCA JAZZ DONNA ’05: GRANDE MUSICA A LUCCA

Eccoci quindi all’apertura della vera e propria serata musicale con quella che a nostro modesto parere è, al momento, la più interessante sassofonista del panorama nazionale: la partenopea CARLA MARCIANO, accompagnata dal noto contrabbassista Aldo Vigorito e da due giovani emergenti di sicuro talento: il pianista Alessandro La Corte ed il batterista Gaetano Fasano. Il concerto era dedicato interamente al mitico John Coltrane, punto di riferimento artistico e spirituale della giovane sassofonista salernitana, che non si è certo limitata ad un semplice omaggio interpretativo, ma al contrario, ha offerto all’immenso maestro americano il meglio della sua creatività, proponendo composizioni originali che hanno messo in evidenza l’enorme capacità espressiva di questa sanguigna musicista, capace, nonostante la sua esile figura fisica, di esprimere un incontenibile volume di sonorità irruente e cariche di forte passionalità. Per la forza impetuosa, la velocità esecutiva e la capacità di “volo” inarrestabile ribattezziamo questa grande sassofonista CARLA “URAGANO” MARCIANO, ringraziandola per le grandi emozioni che ci ha regalato. Un gran bel contributo lo hanno dato anche i valenti musicisti che la accompagnavano con abilità e sensibilità, offrendo anche gradevoli ed intensi assoli

LUCCA JAZZ DONNA ’05: GREAT MUSIC IN LUCCA

…Here we are at the opening of the real music soiree with the artist we think at present is the most interesting saxophonist in Italy: the Neapolitan CARLA MARCIANO, accompanied by the prestigious double bass player Aldo Vigorito, and by two young emerging talented musicians: the pianist Alessandro La Corte and the drummer Gaetano Fasano. The concert was wholly dedicated to the mythical John Coltrane, the young Neapolitan saxophonist’s artistic and spiritual point of reference: she didn’t offer just a simple interpretative homage but, on the contrary, she offered to the great American maestro the best of her creativity, proposing original pieces that pointed out this passionate musician’s huge espressive quality, as notwithstanding her thin build she can express an unrestrainable quantity of impetuous and very passionate sounds. For her impetuous strength, for the fast performance and her neverending ability “to fly”, we call this great saxophonist CARLA “HURRICANE” MARCIANO, thanking her for the big emotions she offered us…
